Week 7 Reflective Writing

Week 7 Reflective Writing

Q Reflective Writing (worth 25 points)- This week, reflect on your learning in this class as a whole. For all of the questions, reflect of what you learned about various world cultures from the past. What did you learn the most about? What do you wish you had learned more about? What were you the most surprised by? What were you the least surprised by? What cultures have been most influential into modern times and why? Be specific connecting the past to the present with examples from particular civilizations studied over the course of the class. You have freedom to use personal examples in your answer, but you must also use examples from the class materials. Your response should be 150 words, and must include at least one direct in-text citation from the instructor’s master notes or power points, and must include a references section directly after the paragraph. Taking this class over the past seven weeks I must say has been surprisingly good. What I mean by “surprisingly” is initially the thought of taking another humanities class seemed quite boring to me and my attitude going into this term was to just get it over with. There are two reasons I can think of as to why this class exceeded my expectations. The first reason is I felt that the requirements were clearly spelled out for me and there was little question as to what needed to be done. Having examples of each assignment provided along with the weekly videos from Professor Mansor was probably the biggest help of all.
